OUR 4 STEP DESIGN - BUILD PROCESS

 

 

Initial Design -

 

In the first step of the process we will get an idea of the project budget which will help us determine the cost of the design phase of the project. We will do an initial walk through of the property with the project developer and get an in person feel of the project. Once a design agreement is signed, we will gather all the important information needed to develop a solid plan for the project. This is the time we do a feasibility study that should bring to light all the potential challenges that may arise during the build process. At this stage we create a set of drawings and sketches that are inspired by the clients desires, lifestyle, constraints and overall vision of their project. We also discuss the long term goals for the home and how you plan to live in it.  We will also get initial pricing from our trade partners that will help us determine a budget for the project. Once the budget and scope of work is agreed upon, we move to the next phase of the project. 

 

Final Design -

 

This phase of the project is the most critical and is possibly the most fun. This is where we put our minds together and bring all the details of the vision to paper and if done right will provide seamless flow to the rest of the project. Getting the details right at the phase. At this stage we work closely with our entire design team including the architect, interior designer, engineer and other trade partners to create a complete project deliverable for the client that outlines every aspect from start to finish. We create a detailed list of materials, fixtures and products, create a detailed timeline for the project, finalize and stamp structural engineered drawings. Once the details are approved we sign a construction agreement and move onto the final phase of the project. 

 

Build -

 

This step of the process is where we bring the dream to reality. Our design team will pass off the project to our production team and they will begin the construction process beginning with pulling all the necessary permits. There are a lot of details and moving parts to this phase of the project and Hygge Haus will handle them all with our streamlined project management systems we have in place. Our in house team does daily walkthroughs of the project to ensure the cleanliness of the construction site and to provide adequate quality control. And whether you are living onsite or offsite we will strive to make you feel as comfortable as possible throughout the process. During this stage, we will do regular walk throughs with the client to ensure that everything is meeting their standards and to give ample opportunity to discuss any desired change orders. As we round the corner and begin the home stretch, we will schedule another walkthrough and create a detailed punch list of the last few items that need to be completed. Once the build process is complete we will do a deep clean of the construction site and have the final unveiling of your new home! 

 

Warranty -

 

Before we get to the final celebration, we provide our clients with the Hygge Haus Handbook which has all the final information and documents needed to help them live in their new home long into the future. Quality craftsmanship is paramount to our mission and vision for the company. This is why every Hygge Haus includes a 3-year warranty. We proactively schedule post-work inspections for: 30 days, 90 days and 1 year. We love being able to provide this peace of mind to all of our clients and their investment. All warranty concerns are treated with urgency and respect.
